EVESHAM SAILING CLUB

Along a stretch of river bank of the Upper Avon, next to the town common, sits Evesham Sailing Club. It is situated above Evesham lock on the site of the old swimming club and pool (which is still in existence) and accessed via the track off Common Road.

It has the unique position of being the only town centre sailing club in Worcestershire. Townspeople and visitors alike venturing across the Workman Bridge and admiring the views towards the lock may, on a Sunday afternoon, catch sight of a colourful display of sails in the distance. Evesham members make up an active club, relying on only mother nature and the skills of the sailors to enjoy their chosen activity.

The club holds meetings every Sunday afternoon at 2.00pm (March to November) and Wednesday evenings (May to August).

You are warmly invited to try your hand at the rudder or just come and watch.
